Key Points
High dust levels

Shredding wood produces fine dust. A water spray system immediately binds this dust, thereby protecting both the environment and the equipment.

High material throughput

The roller screening system enables exceptionally high throughput and ensures consistent, efficient processing of even large volumes of wood.

Coarse components

Oversized pieces are reliably removed and sorted into appropriate fractions, ensuring that the screening process runs smoothly and without interruptions.

Overcoming challenges with the Lepton 5100
Primary wood
This refers to wood that comes directly from forestry or as a byproduct of the wood industry and has not been worn down through use as a finished product. This wood can also be used as biomass for energy production, as bedding, or as ground cover in playgrounds and gardens. Examples include wood chips, bark mulch, root material, forest floor litter, and landscape maintenance material. The use of primary wood is an important component of sustainable energy production, animal husbandry, and landscaping. However, there are several challenges to overcome when processing such materials. High material throughput requires powerful and efficient technologies to reliably process large quantities of wood. Particularly problematic is the significant dust generation during material shredding, which can impact both plant operations and the environment. With the Lepton 5100, Alzinger Recyclingtechnik offers a modern solution that effectively addresses these challenges. By using a water spray system in screen deck 1, dust is captured directly as it is generated. The screen decks with screen rollers enable a higher throughput compared to conventional drum screens.

Machine configuration

  • Hopper with a feed roller for breaking up the feed material
  • Screen decks with screen rollers offer higher material throughput compared to trommel screens
  • Screen deck 1 with a spacing of 36 mm and screen deck 2 with a spacing of 22 mm to separate the material as effectively as possible for further processing
  • The straight screen deck 1 belt facilitates the discharge of bulky materials such as branches
  • Coarse grain belts 1 and 2 for separating coarse components such as stones and wood
  • Water spray system in screen deck 1 for dust suppression
  • Hydraulic bunker flap for filling via conveyor belts
  • LED lighting package for long working days
  • Diesel-electric or fully electric drive of the machine
  • Remote control for convenient operation and monitoring of the machine
